Solutions for Sports Facilities

As a leading manufacturer of pro audio equipment to suppliers and installers in the sports industry, the feedback that we have is that this sector has had to adjust how they manage the technical provision to staff in providing music and voice production.  This change has enabled studio-based training classes to run in an environment that keeps both their staff and their clients as safe as possible.

Gaining insight from a leading facility management company that specialises in running sports centres, we learnt how they operate and what changes they have had to make to facilitate a safe strategy to enable clients to feel confident in attending their venues.

Many of these organisations operate multiply sites.  Their teams of instructors work across locations to offer a wide range of aerobic activities in their specialised fields. To simplify this flow of staff they often install identical systems in their studios so that staff are confident in operating systems.  This ensures their teams can be proficient when delivering classes in different environments and, across multiple venues, knowing that the set-up is the same.  So how has Covid impacted on this rotation style of operating?   We have seen a significant increase in the supply of aerobic headsets with many venues deciding to provide their instructors with their own rather than having them available in each studio.  This safety measure ensures that instructors are reassured that their headsets and wind shields, are for their use only therefore helping to reduce the risk of staff illness and supporting the operation of each location.

TOA has always been at the forefront of developing specialized microphones that have specific uses and understand that a “one fits all” product does not work with the many different applications that use our systems.   Our wireless products are designed to be flexible to enable different styles of transmitters to be used with their receivers so whether the requirement is for handheld, lapel or, in this case, our specially developed headset and belt pack systems they can be interchanged with the receiver units.

At TOA we have two systems that can be supplied with headsets specifically designed to be used in sports facilities. The TOA 5000 Series 16 Channel Wireless solution, powered with rechargeable batteries, can be combined with the WH-4000A unidirectional electrical condenser headset microphone providing a powerful solution to voice presentation. Our Trantec S4.04 & S4.10 series with the HM-66 headset microphone has a specially designed headband that offers a high degree of protection against sweat and a condenser capsule that is highly effective at noise cancellation – ideal when working with large groups.
